CERT - This is the Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center. They track various threats to computers and networks.

Copyscape - Search for copies of your page on the Web. The have a plagiarism search and protection banner.

Free Conference Call - The name says it all.

Free Shell Accounts - A listing of several free shell account providers. Free is better than paying and sometimes a good for learning before you install your own POSIX OS.

Geek Tools - "It seemed to us that we were always looking for a way to have all the external resources we use often, at our fingertips. And there were all sorts of cool tools that seemed to be in different places that kept moving and disappearing as people moved around the net, from company to company. So we decided to build a website, capable of being used by any browser including LYNX, with minimal color (16) and minimal resolution (640 x 480), with no cookies, or Java, for internal use, that had all those resources. And we decided to assign a couple of people to keeping it current, so that when something moved/died, we updated it."

Internet Traffic Report - The Internet Traffic Report monitors the flow of data around the world. It then displays a value between zero and 100. Higher values indicate faster and more reliable connections.

Mail 2 Web - A web based mail client. It allows you to check your eMail from any web browser.

NIST Internet Time Service - The NIST Internet Time Service (ITS) allows users to synchronize computer clocks via the Internet. The time information provided by the service is directly traceable to UTC(NIST). The service responds to time requests from any Internet client in several formats including the DAYTIME, TIME, and NTP protocols.

PHPBB - PHPBB is an open colaboration Bulliten Board (forum) system that integrates with MySQL and PHP. I have used it on many of the sites that I work for and have found it to be a very well supported system. I highly recomend it.

Rail, The - The Rail is a collection of participating websites organized on "trains" which are categories based on subject matter. Every member site displays a Rail Icon on their page which allows visitors to navigate to that site's neighbors to the "east" or "west" along their particular train route.

reCaptcha - If you have no life like me, and have been battling with bots and automated junk, then you are probably about ready to stab yourself in the toe repeatedly. reCaptcha is a very interesting service that provides CAPTCHA to your website or hides your email address from bots and so forth. At the time of this writing, I haven't played with all the features but I am impressed so far.

SpamCop - SpamCop is the premier service for reporting spam. SpamCop determines the origin of unwanted email and reports it to the relevant Internet service providers. By reporting spam, you have a positive impact on the problem. Reporting unsolicited email also helps feed spam filtering systems, including, but not limited to, SpamCop's own service.

Tarsnap - Backups for the truly paranoid.

Trashy Mail - Tired of all that spam? Getting hundreds of stupid porno and ciallis messages? The next time you have to submit an email address to a site or something and all you need is to get your confirmation or whatnot, all you have to do is use this site. It is a really neat concept and works well.
